# Networks

> The four networks DeFiLoops runs on today, what works on each, and where they differ

**In short:** DeFiLoops runs on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and HyperEVM, with real money. Base has every operation. Ethereum and Arbitrum have almost all of them. HyperEVM is for moving USDC and for trading on Hyperliquid. Your account has the same address on all four, and a plan can span them with a crossing.

## What works where

| | Ethereum | Base | Arbitrum | HyperEVM |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| send and receive tokens | yes | yes | yes | yes |
| swap | yes | yes | yes | no |
| wrap and unwrap ETH | yes | yes | yes | no |
| lend and borrow | yes | yes | yes | no |
| loops and loan moves | yes | yes | yes | no |
| liquidity positions | yes | yes | yes | no |
| resting swap orders | yes | yes | yes | no |
| move USDC to another network | yes | yes | yes | yes |
| move WETH to another network | yes | yes | yes | no |
| trade on Hyperliquid | no | no | no | yes |
| deposit to Lighter | yes | no | no | no |
| property and rent | no | yes | no | no |
| tokenized stocks | no | yes | no | no |

The table shows the shape. [The catalogue](https://docs.defiloops.com/adapters/catalogue.md) lists every operation and the networks it runs on, and it is generated from the running system, so it is the answer when the two disagree.

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Check the network before you plan.** A step that names a network where its operation does not run is refused when you save the plan. It is not attempted and then failed.

## One account, four addresses that match

Your account has the same address on every network. You can send tokens to it on any of them.

The agent holds one key and signs for all four networks. It can act only on a network the service has switched on, and a plan that names any other network is refused. See [Your account and your keys](https://docs.defiloops.com/kernel.md).

## Ethereum

Gas costs more here than on the other networks, so a small trade costs more of its own size.

Ethereum has the full set of swaps, lending, loops and liquidity positions, plus deposits to Lighter. It has no property or rent operations.

> [!WARNING]
>
> **On Ethereum, zero-knowledge accounts run without the proof.** A zero-knowledge account normally proves each step against the permissions you signed. On Ethereum that proof is switched off, because it costs too much gas on this network. Your account then works like a standard account.
>
> What still holds: the signature check, the deadline, the one-use task number, the destination check, the price floor and the loan-to-value ceiling. What does not hold: the permission document you signed no longer limits what the agent may drive. Your grants and per-plan allowance, made through that document, do not apply. Any operation the protocol's guardian has approved, once its delay has passed, can be installed and then used by the agent, whether or not your permissions name it. Base, Arbitrum and HyperEVM keep the proof.

## Base

Base carries the whole product. It is the only network with property and rent operations and with tokenized stocks.

## Arbitrum

Arbitrum has the same swaps, lending, loops, liquidity positions and orders as Ethereum. It has no property, rent or stock operations, and no Lighter deposits.

## HyperEVM

HyperEVM is Hyperliquid's own network. It is small on purpose: you move USDC in and out, and you trade on Hyperliquid from here.

* It carries three assets: HYPE, WHYPE and USDC.
* It has no swaps, no lending and no liquidity positions. A step that asks for one is refused.
* USDC reaches it from Ethereum, Base or Arbitrum through a crossing. WETH cannot.
* Transactions on HyperEVM are not tested on a copy of the network before they are sent. See [how transactions are sent](https://docs.defiloops.com/networks/sending.md).

## Networks that are not available

A plan cannot use any network outside these four. The service refuses it at the check, so money cannot be sent to a network the service does not run on.

MegaETH is not switched on for plans.
